Bob Young Frame Supplies does not do any signwriting. To assist you, we have included a listing of some of our customers who would be pleased to provide the graphic design, signwriting and co-ordination of the total project.

Company Profile

Bob Young Frame Supplies was established in 1992 to service the signage industry in Melbourne’s east and southern suburbs. Today, they are the principal supplier of portable sign frames and illuminated sign boxes in the area and service over 130 sign writers with their sign framing requirements.

The business has grown to now require a 7000 sq. ft factory employing 3 people. In 1997 the guillotining, folding and punching equipment was upgraded. Sheets up to 2400 mm long and 3 mm thick can now be guillotined and folded. The installation of an 80 tonne punch and shear enables us to punch up to 30mm holes in 20 mm base plates for pylon signs.

The major business activities are classified as:

	Portable Advertising Frames , including "A" Frames, "T" Frames, Colorbond Frames, Corflute Frames and Real Estate Frames
	Illuminated sign boxes, including under verandah, wall mounted, or pole mounted, manufactured from aluminium light box extrusion
	Custom made frames, including "V" frames, Blade signs, Garden signs, Pillar signs, and Pylon signs
	Bluescope Colorbond Sign White panels in full sheet or cut to size. Panels can be cut and folded to shape for fascia signs, etc. Aluminium sheet is also supplied as whole sheets or cut to size. When cut to size, the customer is only charged for the size of the panel – they are not required to purchase the full sheet.

In 1996, strategic alliances were formed with a number of companies to provide a more complete service to their customers. These services include:

	Preparation and lodgment of municipal planning permit applications.
	Structural design, specification and engineering computations
	Preparation and lodgment of building permit applications
	Manufacture to engineer’s specifications
	Powdercoating and electroplating services
	Moulded acrylic panels
	Site preparation, excavation and concrete footings
	Installation of signs

Through these alliances, Bob Young Frame Supplies is uniquely placed to provide a complete service to the local sign writers, leaving them free to concentrate on the job they do best – sign writing.

Bob Young:

Maureen Young:

Maureen works part-time, looking after the filing and payroll

Pam Martin:

Pam is responsible for cutting sheet to order. She starts work at 7.15am for any clients who require early pickups.

Mark Golotta:

Mark was previously employed as our main welder until his motor bike accident 2 years ago. Now unable to return to his previous duties he is working Friday afternoons and Monday mornings assisting with Quotes, orders and production supervision.

Micheal Killoran:

Micheal is employed full time and primarily responsible for welding .

Structural design, specification and engineering computations required for building permits are provided by Eldon Smith & Partners. They will also complete all arrangements necessary to obtain Council planning and building permits, if required.

H I J Sign Services

Installation, including excavation and concrete footing ( where required ) can be arranged through HIJ Sign Services.

Plasmould Pty Ltd

Plasmould Pty Ltd are able to undertake all specialist requirements for flat or moulded acrylic faces.

Sterling Plating Pty Ltd

Sterling Plating are able to provide electroplating finishes in chrome, satin chrome, bronze, and gold and silver plating
